Coloured bath resurfacing in Broomridge

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Broomridge

A full suite is usually done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Our repair technicians work on coloured basins, whole bathroom suites and coloured shower trays, and common reasons people contact us are a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.

You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we will sort it. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

What you get with us

  • One visit for most repairs
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor

DIY kit or professional repair?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

How the visit works

On the day, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take one to two days for a full suite. We tidy up before we leave and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Each item is left to cure, generally ready the day after.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Let us know which floor the room is on

When a repair isn’t the answer

Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. We can’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.

Materials we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. We price every job individually. What matters most is:

  • How many items we do on one visit
  • The material and finish
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • How much damage there is

A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Quotes from your photos

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • Any details about the material
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

We price from pictures so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.

FAQs for Broomridge

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before.

How quickly can you book me in?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send photos with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it isn’t worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to use again.

Do I have to be there?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.

Will it make a mess?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.

How much does coloured bath resurfacing cost in Broomridge?

Resurfacing from £350. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from photos. You know the full cost before anything is booked.

When to call us in Broomridge

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

Most people contact us when they notice something like this:

  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

What your quote should include

  • How the colour is matched
  • Aftercare advice
  • How soon you can use it again
  • Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?

How to compare quotes

For landlords and businesses

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we will handle the rest.
