Need coloured bath resurfacing in Buckerell?

Can I fix it myself?

For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

Coloured bath resurfacing in Buckerell without replacing anything

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. If you are dealing with a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite, we can help, whatever the material.

For landlords and businesses

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Buckerell use us as well as homeowners. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it costs much less than replacing.

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.

When to call us in Buckerell

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Typical reasons for a call-out include:

  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

Before booking anyone

  • What preparation is included
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
  • How the colour is matched
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers

Our hiring checklist

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Why us?

  • Technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • A fixed quote before you book
  • Straight answers about what a repair can do
  • Colour-matched on site

Read our pricing and guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

What happens on the day

When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job generally takes one to two days for a full suite. We tidy up before we leave and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, typically ready the next day.

How to prepare

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

How to get a price

There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

Advice

Buckerell questions

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Devon.

How quickly can you book me in?

That depends on our diary for your area. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures can’t show what we need.

Is there a call-out fee?

No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.

Do the materials smell?

Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, so we ventilate the room. It fades as everything cures.

Can you do the toilet too?

Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll advise honestly before quoting.

What affects the price in Buckerell

Prices start from £350. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • The material and finish
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Doing more than one item at once

Our prices are the same across the UK, so there is no premium for Buckerell. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Getting a price from pictures

Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To help us price it:

  • Details of any past repairs
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area

We price from photos so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.

What a repair cannot fix

We won’t take on work that will not last, so these are the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.
