Should you replace it?
Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Cambridge
Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is typically done in one to two days. We are frequently asked to fix faded or patchy colour and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, on coloured basins, coloured shower trays and avocado, pampas and pink baths.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there is a problem and we will sort it. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

When we’d advise against a repair
In fairness, some problems need a different fix:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.
What we work on

What happens on the day
Here’s how a visit usually runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, do the job and clear up. Allow a day or two, depending on how many items from start to finish. Before we go, we will explain how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.
- We protect the room and ventilate it.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
- Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.
Before we arrive
- Clear the area around the damage
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access

What coloured bath resurfacing costs
Resurfacing from £350. A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We take into account:
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- The colour and finish to match
- How many areas need work
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Getting a price from photos
Photographing the damage takes a minute. Please include:
- One picture of the whole suite
- What it’s made of, if you know
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Details of any past repairs
There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

Cambridge questions
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit normally costs less than separate visits. Send photos of everything you’d like done.
Do the materials smell?
There can be some smell while we work. It fades as everything cures.
Can you price it without visiting?
Usually, yes. Clear photos let us give you a fixed price without visiting.
Do you cover Cambridge?
Yes. We cover the entire UK and come to Cambridge and the rest of Gloucestershire. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes, for a year. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Can you turn my avocado bath white?
Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Usually, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. We’ll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
What do you need from me?
Photos of the damage, a photo of the entire suite and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.

Other services in Cambridge
Work for landlords and builders
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.
DIY kit or professional repair?
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
