Bath resealing at your home in Cambridge
Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint is at its widest, so the seal does not tear when the bath is first used. Common call-outs are for an untidy old seal and stained silicone, on wet rooms, kitchen worktops & sinks and shower trays & enclosures.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right.

What we do, step by step
We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you are not left guessing. On site, it takes a couple of hours for most jobs. We leave the room clean.
- We protect the area and mask the joint lines.
- We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
- We clean, treat and dry the joint.
- We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
- We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.
How to prepare
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Point us to the nearest place to park
- Let us know about parking or access
Getting a price
For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.
Advice
Looking after it afterwards
Most damage we see is avoidable. These habits help:
- Store bottles on a shelf
- Keep the joints dry
- Ventilate the bathroom well
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
Let it cure fully before using the bath or shower, generally around 24 hours.
Mouldy sealant is more than a cosmetic problem, it’s a sign moisture is sitting in the joint. Resealing early keeps water out of the walls and floor.
Can I fix it myself?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
Work for landlords and builders
Letting agents often send us pictures straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we will arrange it.

Resealing in Cambridge: why it matters
Sealing over old silicone is a false economy. It soon peels, and traps mould underneath. We remove the old sealant completely. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.
