Need coloured bath resurfacing in Cambridge Heath?

Coloured bath resurfacing in Cambridge Heath without replacing anything

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We regularly repair coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and whole bathroom suites, and people most often call us about a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we’ll sort it. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. Prices are worked out job by job, from your photos. The main factors are:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • Access to the area
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • The material and finish

Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Send pictures for a quote

We price nearly every job from photos. This is what we need:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • One picture of the whole suite
  • Where you are, by postcode

Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation.

When we would advise against a repair

A repair is not always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

What we work on

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Cambridge Heath questions

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.

Do you come to Cambridge Heath?

Yes. We work across the UK and come to Cambridge Heath. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Do you hold any accreditations?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

What does coloured bath resurfacing cost?

Prices start from £350. Every job gets a fixed price from your photos. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your E2 postcode.

Can you do the toilet too?

Ask us. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we will tell you what will last.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Typically, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We’ll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.

Work for landlords and builders

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.

DIY kit or professional repair?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.

What we do, step by step

It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, protect the area, then carry out the work, which normally takes a day or two, depending on how many items. If anything looks different from your photos, we will talk to you before going ahead.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. We leave everything to cure, normally until the next day.

How to prepare

  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Keep a parking space free if you can
