About our coloured bath resurfacing in Carr
Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We regularly repair coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and whole bathroom suites, and people most frequently call us about selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What affects the price in Carr
Prices start from £350. Each job gets its own fixed price. This is what makes a difference:
- How hard the colour is to match
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- The material
- Doing more than one item at once
Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
How to get a fixed price
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:
- Any details about the material
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- One picture of the whole suite
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed price back. Quotes are free and no obligation.

Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing generally costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Why book with us
- Rooms protected and left tidy

When we’d advise against a repair
We will always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.
Materials we repair
- Whole bathroom suites
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Coloured shower trays
- Coloured basins
The process
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and start once you are happy with the plan. Most jobs take one to two days for a full suite, and you can get on with other things while we are there.
- The room is protected and ventilated.
- We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.
Getting ready for the visit
- Point us to the nearest place to park
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Open a window if you can

What we are called out for in Carr
Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s normally the colour that dates them, not the condition.
Get in touch if you’ve noticed:
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- Faded or patchy colour
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

For landlords and businesses
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.
Can I fix it myself?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
