Trusted coloured bath resurfacing in Castle Town

The process

Your technician turns up at the time we agreed with you and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before we open a single tin. Most visits take one to two days for a full suite, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. We leave everything to cure, generally until the following day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Keep a parking space free if you can

Getting a price

There’s no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

Advice

Coloured bath resurfacing in Castle Town without replacing anything

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. We regularly repair avocado, pampas and pink baths, whole bathroom suites and coloured shower trays, and people most frequently call us about a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Should you replace it?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Instead of hourly rates, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

What you get with us

  • We leave the room as we found it
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • Everything repaired in place
  • A year’s guarantee on all work

Read our pricing or resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

Common problems we fix in Castle Town

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

Send us a photo if you notice any of these:

  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What your quote should include

  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long
  • Aftercare advice
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the pictures show

What affects the price in Castle Town

Resurfacing from £350. You will know the full cost before you book. We take into account:

  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • What kind of damage it is

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Getting a price from photos

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Try to send:

  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • A picture taken from further back

If you’re in Castle Town and want a price, pictures are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You will get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

Questions from Castle Town

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Of course. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

When can you do it?

We will give you dates with your quote. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.

Will you leave a mess?

We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.

Does someone need to be in?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Do you come to Castle Town?

Yes. We cover the whole UK and come to Castle Town. Send pictures and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Can you do the toilet too?

Ask us. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we will advise honestly before quoting.

Honest limits

A repair is not right for every job, for example:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.
