What we’re called out for in Charing Cross
Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is normally the colour, not the bath.
Look out for any of the following:
- Faded or patchy colour
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

Coloured bath resurfacing in Charing Cross without replacing anything
We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is normally done in one to two days. We regularly repair avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured shower trays and coloured basins, and people most frequently call us about a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we’ll sort it. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Common questions in Charing Cross
What happens once I’ve sent pictures?
We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote with dates.
What does coloured bath resurfacing cost?
Resurfacing from £350. Every job gets a fixed price based on photos of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your W1F postcode.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Generally, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we will say so.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.
Can a coloured bath be made white?
Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
Just keep them out of the work area. We will let you know when it’s safe to use again.
What about the toilet?
Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will advise honestly before quoting.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Of course. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.
For landlords and businesses
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.
What coloured bath resurfacing costs
Resurfacing from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Charing Cross. The price reflects:
- How many items we do on one visit
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- How much damage there is
- What the surface is made of
A repair typically costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send pictures and we will give you the exact figure.
How to get a fixed quote
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- Details of any past repairs
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.
What a repair cannot fix
We won’t take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.
Surfaces we repair
- Coloured shower trays
- Coloured basins
- Whole bathroom suites
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
Should you replace it?
Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Why us?
- We leave the room as we found it
- CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited

- Colour-matched on site

DIY repairs versus a professional job
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
The process
On the day, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take one to two days for a full suite. We clean up when we are done and let you know when you can use it again.
- We protect the room and ventilate it.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
- We leave everything to cure, generally until the next day.
Getting ready for the visit
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire suite, include your postcode and send them over. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.
