How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Whitechapel
A full suite is generally done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. We are often asked to fix a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour, across avocado, pampas and pink baths, whole bathroom suites and coloured shower trays.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

What we are called out for in Whitechapel
Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is normally the colour, not the bath.
People usually call us when they notice one of these:
- A suite that does not match a new bathroom
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- Faded or patchy colour
Questions to ask before booking
- How to care for the finish
- How the colour is matched
- Whether a trained technician does the job
- When it can be used again
DIY kit or professional repair?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
Landlords, agents and businesses in Whitechapel
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

What affects the price in Whitechapel
Prices start from £350. There is no area surcharge for Whitechapel. What changes the price is:
- Doing more than one item at once
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- The colour and finish to match
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.
Send pictures for a quote
Before you send photos, a few simple things make all the difference:
- Natural light rather than flash
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
If you’re in Whitechapel and want a price, photos are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You will get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.
Whitechapel questions
Will you leave a mess?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.
Is there any odour?
It depends on the job, but frequently a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.
Can tenants book a repair?
We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Just ensure the landlord agrees.
Are you accredited?
We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
Can you turn my avocado bath white?
Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.
Can you price it without visiting?
In nearly every case. If pictures don’t show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes, for a year. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Do you charge for travel?
There is no separate call-out charge. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you will get a fixed figure.

How it works
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and clear up. Allow one to two days for a full suite from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
- Each item is left to cure, normally ready the following day.
Getting ready for the visit
- Open a window if you can
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Keep a parking space free if you can
Ask for a price
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole suite, we can price the job the same day in most cases.
