Coloured bath resurfacing in Chipstable

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Chipstable

A full suite is generally done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Our repair technicians work on whole bathroom suites, coloured basins and coloured shower trays, and the jobs we see most are a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are covered after the visit. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Can I fix it myself?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.

For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

What a repair cannot fix

A repair isn’t always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs won’t solve:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.

Materials we work on in Chipstable

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it.

Why us?

  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • Straight answers about what a repair can do
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited

What we do, step by step

Here’s how a visit usually runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and tidy away. Allow a day or two, depending on how many items. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and how to care for it.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit

Advice

For landlords and businesses

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

What affects the price in Chipstable

Resurfacing from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Chipstable. The price depends on:

  • Access to the area
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

Getting a price from photos

Before you send pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Any details about the material

You don’t need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

What we’re called out for in Chipstable

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Send us a photo if you notice any of these:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

Questions to ask before booking

  • If travel is included in the price
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • Who will actually do the work
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
