What we’re called out for in Wilton

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Look out for any of the following:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

  • How changes to the job are handled
  • A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included

How to compare quotes

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Prices start from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Wilton. The price comes down to:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • What kind of damage it is
  • The colour and finish to match
  • How many items we do on one visit

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You will see the full price before you book, with no extras added later.

Getting a price from pictures

We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what we need:

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Natural light rather than flash

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the whole suite, include your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed price, not an estimate.

Wilton questions

Do I have to be there?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.

Can pets and children be at home?

Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.

Do you come to Wilton?

We do. We send a technician to Wilton for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Do the materials smell?

Expect a mild smell while we are working, which fades afterwards.

Can landlords book you?

We do, regularly. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

Is my repair covered?

Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?

Most of the time. Tell us what was done before.

Is it messy?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we’ve finished.

Honest limits

Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Surfaces we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins

Landlord and trade work in Wilton

Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.

For anyone letting property in or around Wilton, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Just send photos for each address and we’ll price them together.

The process

It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, cover and mask the work area, and get on with the job, which normally takes one to two days for a full suite. If we find something your pictures didn’t show, we will explain it before carrying on.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. We leave everything to cure, typically until the following day.

Before we arrive

  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing generally costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

What you get with us

  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • Work done at your home or business
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • Most jobs done in one visit

Read our pricing or resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

Can I fix it myself?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
