Ciliau Aeron questions
Is repairing better than replacing?
Typically, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.
How much does coloured bath resurfacing cost in Ciliau Aeron?
Prices start from £350. Because every job differs, we price from pictures. You will get a fixed figure before booking.
Does someone need to be in?
We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Is there any odour?
Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, which is why we ventilate. It fades as everything cures.
Do you hold any accreditations?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
Is it messy?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before.
Will the price change on the day?
The price is fixed for what the pictures show. If there’s more, we will tell you before starting.

What a repair cannot fix
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.
What we work on
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Coloured basins
- Whole bathroom suites
- Coloured shower trays
What affects the price in Ciliau Aeron
Resurfacing from £350. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:
- The size and number of damaged areas
- The material and finish
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- Whether we combine several jobs
Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Ciliau Aeron. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
How to get a fixed quote
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Try to send:
- One picture of the whole suite
- Details of any past repairs
- Something in shot to show the size
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
You do not need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

How the visit works
On the day, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take one to two days for a full suite. We clean up when we are done and let you know when you can use it again.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.
Preparing for the visit
- Ensure the room can be ventilated
- Ensure the area is dry
- Keep a parking space free if you can

What we are called out for in Ciliau Aeron
Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.
It’s worth getting a quote if you see:
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
- Faded or patchy colour
What to look for in a quote
- How your room will be protected
- Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
- What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
- If travel is included in the price
DIY kit or professional repair?
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.
