Need coloured bath resurfacing in Common Side?

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Common Side

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We regularly repair coloured shower trays, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths, and the jobs we see most are a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What happens on the day

We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you’re not left guessing. Once we are there, the work takes one to two days for a full suite for most jobs. We leave the room clean.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Each item is left to cure, usually ready the following day.

How to prepare

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Getting a price

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

What we’re called out for in Common Side

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is normally the colour, not the bath.

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Why book with us

  • A fixed quote before you book
  • Same prices wherever you are
  • CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year

When we would advise against a repair

A repair is not always the answer, and we will tell you before we start. We cannot fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

What we work on

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins

Is repairing better than replacing?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit normally costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.

For landlords and businesses

Letting agents often send us photos straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Staffordshire and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. You will not pay by the hour. The price is based on:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • The type of damage
  • Access to the area
  • Doing more than one item at once

Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Getting a price from photos

You can usually get a fixed price without us visiting. To help us price it:

  • The material, if you know it
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A photo taken from further back

If you are in Common Side and want a price, photos are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

DIY kit or professional repair?

For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
