Coloured bath resurfacing in Cotton

Coloured bath resurfacing in Cotton, done in place

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. If you’re dealing with faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite, we can typically put it right, whatever the material.

You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there’s a problem and we will sort it. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Can I fix it myself?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

Honest limits

Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins

Cotton: your questions answered

Can landlords book you?

We do, regularly. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Usually, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.

Do you work in Cotton?

We do. We send a technician to Cotton for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Can you repair several things at once?

Of course, and it typically saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and we’ll quote them together.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Do you charge for travel?

There is no separate call-out charge. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

Which areas do you work in?

We work UK-wide, and that includes Cotton. Prices don’t change with location.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Cotton?

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

People normally call us when they notice something like this:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

Comparing quotes

  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long
  • How the colour is matched
  • How to care for the finish
  • Who turns up on the day

How to compare quotes

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. We don’t charge extra for travel to Cotton. The price comes down to:

  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • What the surface is made of
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear

No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Quotes from your photos

You can take the photos on your phone, there is no need for anything special. Just ensure we can see:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • One picture of the entire suite
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

There is no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book, with no extras added later.

What you get with us

  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • A fixed quote before booking

How the visit works

On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we’ll get on with it. Most visits take a day or two, depending on how many items, tidy-up included.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. We leave everything to cure, typically until the day after.

How to prepare

  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings

Ask for a price

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole suite, add your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.

Advice

Work for landlords and builders

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.

For anyone letting property in or around Cotton, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Send pictures for each one and we’ll come back with a combined price.
