What affects the price in Craigcrook

Resurfacing from £350. We price every job individually, from your pictures. The main factors are:

  • Doing more than one item at once
  • How many areas need work
  • The material and finish
  • The type of damage

We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Quotes from your pictures

Two or three clear pictures are normally enough. It helps if you send:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A wider photo showing the whole suite
  • Details of any past repairs
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed quote back. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation.

Coloured bath resurfacing in Craigcrook without replacing anything

A full suite is usually done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. If you’re dealing with selling or letting a home with an old suite and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, we can generally put it right, whatever the material.

Big or small, you get the same one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What we do, step by step

We turn up when we said we would and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. Most visits take a day or two, depending on how many items, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit

Common questions in Craigcrook

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes, often. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.

Are there extra charges for Craigcrook?

No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.

Can pets and children be at home?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, so the repair is not disturbed while it cures.

When can you do it?

We will give you dates with your quote. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Most of the time. Tell us what was done before.

Are you accredited?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Is the work guaranteed?

All our work carries our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

What information do you need?

Photos of the damage, a photo of the entire suite and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Craigcrook. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Why us?

  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • Free fixed quotes from pictures

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

Common problems we fix in Craigcrook

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is typically the colour, not the bath.

Contact us if you’ve noticed any of these:

  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour

When a repair is not the answer

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.
