Coloured bath resurfacing near Croston

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Croston

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. We work on whole bathroom suites, coloured shower trays and avocado, pampas and pink baths, and the jobs we see most are faded or patchy colour and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Croston: your questions answered

Will there be a smell?

Expect a mild smell while we’re working that clears as it cures.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

Will the price change on the day?

We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. You won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.

Is there a call-out fee?

Travel is included in the price, with the same prices everywhere we work.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes, frequently. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

Are you accredited?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Do you come to Croston?

We do. We send a technician to Croston for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Yes, almost always. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • Access to the area
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • What the surface is made of

Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Croston. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Quotes from your photos

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:

  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

The quickest way to a price is to send two or three pictures using our quote form or ring us. We’ll tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.

DIY kit or professional repair?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Croston?

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

Customers usually contact us about:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What to look for in a quote

  • How long it needs to cure
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long
  • How the room is protected while they work
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show

Our hiring checklist

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Why book with us

What we do, step by step

You do not need to empty the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and start once you are happy with the plan. Most jobs take one to two days for a full suite, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. We leave everything to cure, typically until the following day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area

How to get a price

Most customers in Croston get their price from pictures. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.

Advice

When a repair isn’t the answer

A repair is not always the answer, and we will tell you before we start. Repairs will not solve:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins

Landlord and trade work in Croston

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.
