Need coloured bath resurfacing in Dale End?

Coloured bath resurfacing in Dale End without replacing anything

A full suite is typically done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Our technicians work on avocado, pampas and pink baths, whole bathroom suites and coloured basins, and people most frequently call us about a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you’re covered after the visit. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

When to call us in Dale End

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

These are the problems we’re asked about most:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

What to look for in a quote

  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • What protection goes down before work starts
  • Who will actually do the work

Our hiring checklist

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. There’s no charge for travel to Dale End. The price comes down to:

  • How many areas need work
  • What the surface is made of
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Access to the area

We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Dale End. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Send photos for a quote

You can take the photos on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Ensure they show:

  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • A wider photo showing the whole suite
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus

We price from photos so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.

Should you replace it?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Dale End: your questions answered

What areas do you cover?

Everywhere in the UK, Dale End included. Travel is included in the price.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners in Dale End.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Yes, regularly. Removing the old work can add time, and that is in the quote.

Is repairing better than replacing?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.

What happens after I send photos?

We come back with a fixed quote, plus dates. You are under no obligation.

How do I book?

Some photos, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, access to the room.

What about the toilet?

Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we will tell you what will last.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children.

What we do, step by step

Arrival times are agreed in advance, so you know when to expect us. On site, it takes a day or two, depending on how many items for most jobs. We leave the room clean.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, normally ready the following day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Keep a parking space free if you can

Ask for a price

The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of pictures through our quote form or call us. We will tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.

Related advice

Can I fix it myself?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

When we’d advise against a repair

Some jobs aren’t right for a repair, for example:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before booking.
