Coloured bath resurfacing for Dawlish homes

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Dawlish

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Typical jobs include selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour, in coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and whole bathroom suites.

Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Common questions in Dawlish

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

Do you cover the entire of Devon?

We work UK-wide, so Dawlish is covered. Prices don’t change with location.

Do I have to be there?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Just add the extra items to your photos and you’ll get one combined price.

Do you cover Dawlish?

We do. Repair technicians travel to Dawlish from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Are you a vetted contractor?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We will tell you when the room can be used again.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Get your landlord’s agreement first.

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. Every quote is fixed and free. What we take into account:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • The material and finish
  • The colour and finish to match

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Send pictures for a quote

When you take your photos, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • One picture of the whole suite
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • Any details about the material

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.

When we would advise against a repair

A repair isn’t always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.

Materials we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.

Why Dawlish customers choose us

What we do, step by step

On the day, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take a day or two, depending on how many items. We clean up when we’re done and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Clear the area around the damage

Getting a price

Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price. There is no charge for the quote and you are under no obligation.

Related advice

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
