What we can’t put right

Not everything can be repaired, and we’d rather say so up front. Repairs won’t solve:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

What affects the price in East End Green

Resurfacing from £350. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:

  • The material and finish
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • What kind of damage it is

We charge the same wherever you are, so there is no premium for East End Green. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Getting a price from photos

You can take the photos on your phone. Make sure they show:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • What it’s made of, if you know

Send us photos of the damage and one of the entire item, with your SG14 postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Work for landlords and builders

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in East End Green use us as well as homeowners. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it costs much less than replacing.

What we’re called out for in East End Green

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

These are the problems we are asked about most:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour

What your quote should include

  • How the colour is matched
  • What prep work is covered
  • Who will actually do the work
  • Aftercare advice

Questions from East End Green

Do you work in East End Green?

Yes. We cover the entire UK and travel to East End Green. Send photos and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses.

Do you charge for travel?

Travel is included in the price, with the same prices everywhere we work.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

What if the damage is worse than the photos show?

Your quote covers the damage in the photos. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

What about the toilet?

Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll tell you what will last.

Do I need to be at home?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.

What we do, step by step

Your technician turns up when we said we would and checks the damage against your photos first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. The work itself takes one to two days for a full suite, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, normally ready the next day.

Can I fix it myself?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
