Need coloured bath resurfacing in Essendon?

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Essendon

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. We regularly repair coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins, and the jobs we see most are faded or patchy colour and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.

Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

The process

On the day, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take one to two days for a full suite. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. We leave everything to cure, typically until the following day.

Before we arrive

  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit

Should you replace it?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

Honest limits

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Questions from Essendon

Is it safe with children and pets around?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, so the repair is not disturbed while it cures.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Yes, we often do. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.

Do I need to be at home?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. You do not need to watch us work.

What about the toilet?

Ask us. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we will advise honestly before quoting.

Are you accredited?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

What happens after I send photos?

You will get a fixed quote back. There’s no obligation to book.

Is there a call-out fee?

No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.
