Coloured bath resurfacing in Eastfield Side

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Eastfield Side

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. We work on coloured basins, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites, and common reasons people get in touch are selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour.

We guarantee the work for a year. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Work for landlords and builders

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Nottinghamshire and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before you book.

Eastfield Side: your questions answered

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

What happens once I’ve sent photos?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote and the next dates we have.

Can you do the toilet too?

Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll advise honestly before quoting.

How much does coloured bath resurfacing cost in Eastfield Side?

Prices start from £350. We give a fixed price based on photos of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your NG17 postcode.

Will the price change on the day?

If we find something the pictures didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.

Does someone need to be in?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.

Are there extra charges for Eastfield Side?

No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.

Do the materials smell?

Expect a mild smell while we’re working.

Common problems we fix in Eastfield Side

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is normally the colour, not the bath.

The things customers generally mention when they call are:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

Our hiring checklist

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:

  • How many areas need work
  • The type of damage
  • The material and finish
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out

No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

How to get a fixed price

Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A wider photo showing the entire suite
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus

Most clients in Eastfield Side get their price from photos. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

When a repair is not the answer

We would rather lose a job than do one that will not last, so here’s what a repair cannot put right:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins

DIY kit or professional repair?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.

What happens on the day

Arrival times are agreed in advance. Once we’re there, the work takes a day or two, depending on how many items. The room is left tidy and you will know when it can be used.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Preparing for the visit

  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

Ask for a price

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
