How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Forder
Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Our repair technicians work on coloured basins, whole bathroom suites and coloured shower trays, and the jobs we see most are a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you are covered after the visit. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Questions from Forder
Can tenants book a repair?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted.
How do I book?
Some pictures, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, we only need access to the room.
Do you charge for travel?
Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.
Will there be a smell?
It depends on the job, but frequently a little. Open windows and an extractor fan help.
When can you do it?
Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Typically, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we will say so.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Typically, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.
Is it safe with children and pets around?
We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

When a repair is not the answer
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before you book.
Materials we repair
- Whole bathroom suites
- Coloured shower trays
- Coloured basins
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
What coloured bath resurfacing costs
Prices start from £350. We don’t charge extra for travel to Forder. The price depends on:
- The material
- Unusual colours or finishes
- The size and number of damaged areas
- How many items we do on one visit
Set against the cost of replacement, repairing typically costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Quotes from your pictures
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole suite, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
What you get with us
- We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing
- Typically one visit, start to finish
- Rooms protected and left tidy
- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
See our pricing or guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.
Can I fix it myself?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
What happens on the day
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and clear up. Plan for one to two days for a full suite from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and how to look after it.
- The room is protected and ventilated.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.
Before we arrive
- Ensure the area is dry
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
Ask for a price
Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and you will get a fixed quote back. Quotes are free and no obligation.

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

- Faded or patchy colour
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
