Trusted coloured bath resurfacing in Forest Row

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Forest Row

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Whether it’s selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour, we can generally put it right, on whole bathroom suites, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths alike.

Every repair is covered by our one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • The colour and finish to match

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book, with no extras added later.

How to get a fixed quote

Photographing the damage takes a minute, and it saves a visit. Please include:

  • A picture taken from further back
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the whole suite, add your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

Common questions in Forest Row

Do you charge for travel?

No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.

What information do you need?

Some pictures, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, we only need access to the room.

Will the price change on the day?

The price is fixed for what the photos show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

Are you a vetted contractor?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

In nearly every case. If photos do not show enough, we will ask for another angle.

Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?

Yes, regularly. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.

Can I fix it myself?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.

When to call us in Forest Row

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

The things customers generally mention when they call include:

  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour

Before you book anyone

  • How the colour is matched
  • What aftercare is recommended
  • Who turns up on the day
  • How changes to the job are handled

Choosing a repair company

Should you replace it?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.

What you get with us

  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • Work done at your home or business
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • Generally one visit, start to finish

When we’d advise against a repair

We won’t take on work that won’t last, so here’s what a repair cannot put right:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.

Materials we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays

For landlords and businesses

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

Letting agents frequently send us photos straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

How the visit works

You do not need to empty the room. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and start once you are happy with the plan. It typically takes one to two days for a full suite, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, normally until the next day.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access

How to get a price

The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of photos using our quote form or ring us. We will tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.
