Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Repair or replace in Four Lane Ends?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Why book with us

  • Everything repaired in place

The process

You do not need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you are happy with the plan. It generally takes one to two days for a full suite, and you can get on with other things while we are there.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, normally ready the next day.

Before we arrive

  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

How to get a price

Advice

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Four Lane Ends?

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

The most common problems we’re called about are:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What to look for in a quote

  • Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
  • Whether they match the colour on site
  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price

10 questions to ask before you book

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. You will not pay by the hour. The price depends on:

  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • How many areas need work
  • The type of damage

Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Four Lane Ends. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Getting a price from pictures

When you take your pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • A photo taken from further back
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and you will get a fixed quote back. Quotes are free and you’re under no obligation.

Can I fix it myself?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

Work for landlords and builders

Letting agents frequently send us photos straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover. We can visit several plots in one trip.

When a repair is not the answer

In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before booking.

Materials we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
