Coloured bath resurfacing in Freemantle

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Freemantle

A full suite is usually done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Typical jobs include a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour, across coloured basins, coloured shower trays and avocado, pampas and pink baths.

Every repair is covered by our one-year guarantee. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Freemantle

Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We will fit around changeovers where we can.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Compared with replacing, repairing usually costs far less, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Why book with us

  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • Colour mixed on the day to match

Read our pricing or guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

How it works

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. Most jobs take a day or two, depending on how many items, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, generally ready the following day.

Before we arrive

  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Keep a parking space free if you can

How to get a price

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we will come back with a fixed figure.

Advice

When to call us in Freemantle

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

Signs it’s time to call us include:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour

Comparing quotes

  • What protection goes down before work starts
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • Whether they match the colour on site
  • If travel is included in the price

10 questions to ask before you book

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Freemantle. The price reflects:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • What the surface is made of

No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Getting a price from pictures

Two or three clear photos are generally enough. It helps if you send:

  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Details of any past repairs

Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed price back. Quotes are free and no obligation.

When a repair is not the answer

Before booking, it’s worth knowing the limits too:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before booking.

Common questions in Freemantle

What about the toilet?

Ask us. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll tell you what will last.

Is my repair covered?

All our work carries a one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

Is it messy?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and you’ll get one combined price.

Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?

Yes, regularly. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.

Is repairing better than replacing?

In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it isn’t worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

Can you price it without visiting?

Yes, almost always. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed price without visiting.

Do you cover the entire of Southampton?

We work UK-wide, and that includes Freemantle. Prices don’t change with location.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
