About our coloured bath resurfacing in Frogmill

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. If you’re dealing with a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite, we can help.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

FAQs for Frogmill

Is there a guarantee?

Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

Do you cover the whole of Windsor and Maidenhead?

We work UK-wide, so Frogmill is covered. Prices do not change with location.

Will the price change on the day?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit and until it has cured. The rest of the house is unaffected.

Do the materials smell?

A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.

Can you do the toilet too?

Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll tell you what will last.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.

For landlords and businesses

Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Frogmill as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Frogmill?

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Contact us if you’ve noticed:

  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

What your quote should include

  • Who turns up on the day
  • How to care for the finish
  • How soon you can use it again
  • How the colour is matched

Honest limits

We will always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair will not do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

What affects the price in Frogmill

Resurfacing from £350. You’ll know the full cost before booking. We look at:

  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • What the surface is made of
  • How many areas need work

Compared with replacing, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Getting a price from photos

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Please include:

  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Something in shot to show the size

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire suite, we can give you a fixed quote without visiting.

How the visit works

You do not need to empty the room. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we are doing. Most jobs take one to two days for a full suite, and you can get on with other things while we are there.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. We leave everything to cure, usually until the day after.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Ensure the area is dry
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Let us know about parking or access

Should I try a DIY kit first?

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
