Coloured bath resurfacing in Gissing, done in place
A full suite is typically done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Common call-outs are for faded or patchy colour and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, in avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and coloured shower trays.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything is not right, ring us and we’ll come back. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

How it works
Once we are through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.
How to prepare
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Let us know if it has been repaired before

Advice
What coloured bath resurfacing costs
Prices start from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Gissing. The price depends on:
- How much damage there is
- How many items we do on one visit
- The type of damage
- How easy the damage is to reach
Our prices are the same across the UK, so there is no premium for Gissing. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
How to get a fixed quote
Photographing the damage takes a minute, and it saves a visit. Please include:
- Something in shot to show the size
- Details of any past repairs
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
You do not need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.
What we are called out for in Gissing
Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is typically the colour, not the bath.
The most common problems we’re called about are:
- Faded or patchy colour
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
What to look for in a quote
- Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
- Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
- Whether they match the colour on site
- Who turns up on the day
Gissing questions

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
In most cases. The old repair comes out first, so let us know about it.
Are you a vetted contractor?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
Can you price it without visiting?
Normally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.

Is the work guaranteed?

Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. Should I try a DIY kit first?
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.
