Trusted coloured bath resurfacing in Glenfarg

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Glenfarg

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. We work on avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites, and the jobs we see most are selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour.

Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee in Glenfarg and across Perth and Kinross. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

The process

A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, do the job and clear up. Plan for one to two days for a full suite. Before we go, we will explain when it can be used and how to look after it.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings

Advice

Glenfarg: your questions answered

Do the materials smell?

A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes, often. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

Do you cover Glenfarg?

Yes, we do. Repair technicians travel to Glenfarg from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Can pets and children be at home?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children.

Can you repair something that is been repaired before?

Most of the time. Tell us what was done before and we will plan for it.

Will it make a mess?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we have finished.

What happens once I’ve sent pictures?

You will get a fixed quote back, usually with dates to choose from. You’re under no obligation.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include photos of each item.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Glenfarg?

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

You may need us if you’ve spotted any of these:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What to look for in a quote

  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
  • Whether a trained technician does the job
  • How the colour is matched

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. We give every job a fixed price from photos. These are the things that affect it:

  • The material and finish
  • Access to the area
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Unusual colours or finishes

A repair generally costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send pictures and we will give you the exact figure.

How to get a fixed price

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:

  • A picture taken from further back
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • The material, if you know it
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

Send us photos of the damage and one of the entire item, and tell us you are in Glenfarg, and we will reply with a fixed price.

When we would advise against a repair

We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.

Surfaces we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays

Repair or replace in Glenfarg?

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.

Why us?

  • No extra charge for your area
  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • Straight answers about what a repair can do
