Coloured bath resurfacing near Greenman's Lane

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Greenman's Lane

A full suite is usually done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. We regularly repair whole bathroom suites, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured shower trays, and common reasons people get in touch are a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price is based on:

  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • How many areas need work
  • What the surface is made of
  • How many items we do on one visit

We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Quotes from your photos

We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what to send:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • One picture of the whole suite

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through.

Work for landlords and builders

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover. We can visit several plots in one trip.

For anyone letting property in or around Greenman's Lane, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send pictures for each address and we will price them together.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with no extras added later.

What you get with us

  • Typically one visit, start to finish
  • Work done at your home or business
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • One price list for the entire UK

See our full price list and resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

When we would advise against a repair

We will always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair cannot fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.

What we work on

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

What we’re called out for in Greenman's Lane

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

You may need us if you’ve spotted:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

  • What prep work is covered
  • When it can be used again
  • How to look after the finish

Our hiring checklist

What we do, step by step

Arrival times are agreed in advance. Once we are there, the work takes one to two days for a full suite for most jobs. The room is left tidy.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, usually ready the next day.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings

Getting a price

Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you will get a fixed quote back. There’s no charge for the quote and no obligation.

Can I fix it myself?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.
