Coloured bath resurfacing in Gunnislake

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Gunnislake

A full suite is usually done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Whether it’s a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, we can typically put it right, on whole bathroom suites, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths alike.

All our work comes with our one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Common questions in Gunnislake

Will the price change on the day?

Your quote covers the damage in the pictures. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Normally, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.

What information do you need?

Just pictures, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.

Do you charge for travel?

We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed quote includes everything.

Does someone need to be in?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include pictures of each item.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long
  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included

Choosing a repair company

DIY repairs versus a professional job

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Why us?

  • A fixed quote before booking
  • One visit for most repairs
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing

Read our prices page and guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

When we’d advise against a repair

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.

What we work on

  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays

What we do, step by step

Here’s how a visit generally runs: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, do the job and tidy away. Allow one to two days for a full suite. Before we go, we will explain how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.

How to prepare

  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Make sure the room can be ventilated

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Prices start from £350. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:

  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • What the surface is made of
  • How many areas need work
  • Doing more than one item at once

The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book, with nothing added on the day.

Getting a price from pictures

You can take the pictures on your phone. Just make sure we can see:

  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • What it’s made of, if you know

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote. Quotes are free and no obligation.
