What we are called out for in Gwavas
Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.
If you can see any of these, send us a photo:
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- Faded or patchy colour
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
Before you book anyone

- Whether the price covers travel
- How to care for the finish
- Who will actually do the work
Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Gwavas
A full suite is generally done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Common call-outs are for selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, across coloured basins, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites.
Every job is backed for twelve months in Gwavas and everywhere else. We return to put right any problem with the work. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Honest limits
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before you book.
What we work on
- Whole bathroom suites
- Coloured shower trays
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Coloured basins
Can I fix it myself?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
For landlords and businesses
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.
If you manage property in Gwavas, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send photos for each one and we will price them together.
Gwavas questions
Can you turn my avocado bath white?
Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Usually, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we will say so.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes, often. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
How do I book?
Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we will do the rest.
Do I need to be at home?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. You do not need to watch us work.
Do you cover Gwavas?
We do. Technicians travel to Gwavas from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
Your quote covers the damage in the pictures. If there is more, we will tell you before starting.
Can you do the toilet too?
Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll tell you what will last.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing
Resurfacing from £350. There is no charge for travel to Gwavas. The price comes down to:
- Access to the area
- How much damage there is
- The type of damage
- Unusual colours or finishes
Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.
Quotes from your photos
When you take your pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Where you are, by postcode
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
Send us photos of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, and tell us you’re in Gwavas, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before booking, with nothing added on the day.
Why book with us
- A year’s guarantee on all work
- One price list for the whole UK
- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
- Dust sheets down, tidy finish

The process
There is not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll get on with it. Most visits take one to two days for a full suite.
- We protect the room and ventilate it.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- We leave everything to cure, typically until the next day.
Before we arrive
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Open a window if you can
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
Getting a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.
