About our coloured bath resurfacing in Hammerwich
Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. We’re often asked to fix a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite, across coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and whole bathroom suites.
Big or small, you get the same one-year guarantee in Hammerwich and across Staffordshire. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. You’ll know the full cost before you book. We take into account:
- How much damage there is
- How many items we do on one visit
- The material and finish
- The type of damage
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you will get a fixed figure.
Send photos for a quote
Phone pictures are fine. Just make sure we can see:
- The material, if you know it
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
To get a price, send two or three photos using our quote form or ring us. We will tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.
Common problems we fix in Hammerwich
Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is normally the colour, not the bath.
Customers normally contact us about:
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- Faded or patchy colour
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
What your quote should include
- How the colour is matched
- How to care for the finish
- Whether the price covers travel
- How changes to the job are handled
Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

The process
Once we’re through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes a day or two, depending on how many items, depending on what we find, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- Each item is left to cure, generally ready the day after.
How to prepare
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Keep a parking space free if you can
Ask for a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.

- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.
