Coloured bath resurfacing in Havyatt without replacing anything

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. If you’re dealing with faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite, we can typically put it right.

Every job is backed for twelve months. We return to put right any problem with the work. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

What we do, step by step

We work cleanly and quietly, so you can stay at home while we’re there. We protect the area first, then the job itself takes a day or two, depending on how many items. Before we leave, we explain how soon it can be used and how to care for it.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Each item is left to cure, usually ready the day after.

Preparing for the visit

  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.

What you get with us

  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • No need to remove anything
  • One price list for the whole UK
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish

What we’re called out for in Havyatt

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

Common reasons people in Havyatt contact us include:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour

What your quote should include

  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
  • What happens if they find more damage
  • Aftercare advice
  • Who turns up on the day

10 questions to ask before you book

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. You will not pay by the hour. The price depends on:

  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • The material and finish
  • The type of damage
  • How hard the colour is to match

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

Getting a price from pictures

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:

  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • One picture of the whole suite
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • The material, if you know it

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed price without visiting.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

When we would advise against a repair

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Surfaces we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins

Havyatt questions

Do you cover the whole of Somerset?

We work UK-wide, so Havyatt is covered. Prices do not change with location.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Is my repair covered?

All our work carries our one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

Can you do the toilet too?

Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll tell you what will last.

What does coloured bath resurfacing cost?

Resurfacing from £350. Every job gets a fixed quote from your photos. Send a close-up and a photo of the entire item and your postcode.

Can tenants book a repair?

Of course. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

Do you come to Havyatt?

Yes. We cover the whole UK and travel to Havyatt and the rest of Somerset. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

What do you need from me?
