Coloured bath resurfacing in Highoak

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Highoak

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Common call-outs are for selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour, across coloured basins, avocado, pampas and pink baths and whole bathroom suites.

Every job is backed for twelve months. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.

Repair or replace in Highoak?

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.

Why Highoak clients choose us

  • Colour-matched on site
  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
  • We leave the room as we found it

Highoak questions

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

Do you charge for travel?

No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.

Will the price change on the day?

We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.

Can landlords book you?

Yes, often. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

Which areas do you work in?

The entire UK, including all of Norfolk. Send your postcode with your pictures and we’ll confirm dates.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and you will get one combined price.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

When can you do it?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.

What affects the price in Highoak

Prices start from £350. You will know the full cost before booking. We look at:

  • The type of damage
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • What the surface is made of
  • The size and number of damaged areas

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before you book, with nothing added on the day.

Quotes from your pictures

You can take the pictures on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Make sure they show:

  • The material, if you know it
  • A wider photo showing the whole suite
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Details of any past repairs

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can price the job.

What we can’t put right

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair will not do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before you book.

What we work on

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites

What happens on the day

On the day, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job normally takes a day or two, depending on how many items. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

How to get a price

There’s no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

Advice

What we’re called out for in Highoak

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s normally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Customers normally contact us about:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

What to look for in a quote

  • How the room is protected while they work
  • Whether they match the colour on site
  • Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
  • How to care for the finish
