Coloured bath resurfacing in Holt

Repair or replace in Holt?

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

What you get with us

  • Normally one visit, start to finish
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • Same prices wherever you are
  • We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Holt

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. We’re often asked to fix a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, across coloured basins, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites.

Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Holt

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Holt use us as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it generally costs far less than a refit.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

What we’re called out for in Holt

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

Questions to ask before you book

  • How the room is protected while they work
  • Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
  • Aftercare advice
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers

How to compare quotes

When a repair is not the answer

We would rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so here’s what a repair can’t put right:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

What we work on

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins

Questions from Holt

Which areas do you work in?

We work UK-wide, so Holt is covered. Our prices are the same everywhere.

Do the materials smell?

A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.

Are there extra charges for Holt?

No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Of course, and it generally saves money. Send pictures of everything together and we will quote them together.

What do you need from me?

Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we will do the rest.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Can you do the toilet too?

Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll advise honestly before quoting.

What does coloured bath resurfacing cost?

Resurfacing from £350. We give a fixed quote from your photos. Send a close-up and a photo of the whole item with your BA14 postcode.

What affects the price in Holt

Prices start from £350. We give every job a fixed quote from pictures. This is what makes a difference:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • The material
  • How much damage there is

We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Quotes from your pictures

Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what helps:

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Any details about the material

There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.

How it works

On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll get on with it. The job generally runs to a day or two, depending on how many items, tidy-up included.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Keep a parking space free if you can
