It helps to know what we can’t do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.

What we work on

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites

Coloured bath resurfacing in Home Farm without replacing anything

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Whether it’s a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour, we can normally put it right.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Home Farm?

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Signs it’s time to call us include:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

Our hiring checklist

What we do, step by step

We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you know when to expect us. Once we’re there, the work takes a day or two, depending on how many items for most jobs. We leave the room clean and you will know when it can be used.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. We leave everything to cure, normally until the next day.

How to prepare

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Point us to the nearest place to park

How to get a price

Advice

DIY repairs versus a professional job

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.

Common questions in Home Farm

Will you leave a mess?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we’ve finished.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Normally, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We’ll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.

Do you cover Home Farm?

Yes. We cover the whole UK and come to Home Farm. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Do I have to be there?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. You don’t need to watch us work.

Is there a call-out fee?

We do not add a call-out fee. Your fixed price includes everything.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Most of the time. Tell us what was done before and we will plan for it.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses in Home Farm.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Home Farm

If you manage property in Home Farm, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send photos for each one and we’ll come back with a combined price.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. Each job gets its own fixed price. This is what makes a difference:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • The colour and finish to match
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

Our prices are the same across the UK, so there is no premium for Home Farm. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Send photos for a quote

Before you send pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • Any details about the material
  • Details of any past repairs
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Something in shot to show the size

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
