Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We take into account:

  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • The material
  • How many items we do on one visit

What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

Send pictures for a quote

The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • The material, if you know it
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we will come back with a fixed figure.

Coloured bath resurfacing in Hope, done in place

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Whether it’s selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour, we can help.

You are covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

How the visit works

On the day itself, there is little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll get on with it. The job generally runs to a day or two, depending on how many items, tidy-up included.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Make sure the area is dry

When we’d advise against a repair

To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

For landlords and businesses

Letting agents often send us pictures straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, so there’s no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. We can visit several plots in one trip.

Common questions in Hope

Do I need to be at home?

We need someone to let us in. You don’t need to watch us work.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Generally, yes. Let us know what was used before.

How do I book?

Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we’ll take it from there.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

How much does coloured bath resurfacing cost in Hope?

Prices start from £350. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from pictures. You will get a fixed figure before you book.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.

Is there any odour?

There may be a mild smell during the work.

DIY kit or professional repair?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

What we are called out for in Hope

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Contact us if you’ve noticed:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

Before you book anyone

  • How the colour is matched
  • What preparation is included
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • What protection goes down before work starts

How to compare quotes

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
