Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Thornhill
We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is normally done in one to two days. Our technicians work on coloured shower trays, whole bathroom suites and coloured basins, and common reasons people contact us are a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

What we do, step by step
We turn up when we said we would and checks the damage against your photos first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. The work itself takes one to two days for a full suite, and we leave the room as we found it.
- We protect the room and ventilate it.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
- Each item is left to cure, generally ready the day after.
Preparing for the visit
- Ensure the area is dry
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work

Related advice
Thornhill: your questions answered
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are frequently glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.
Will you leave a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.
What happens if you find more damage?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.
Can you turn my avocado bath white?
Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include photos of each item.
Can you quote from photos?
Nearly always. If photos don’t show enough, we will ask for another angle.
Is it safe with children and pets around?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we are working in. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to use again.
Are you a vetted contractor?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
DIY kit or professional repair?
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
What affects the price in Thornhill
Prices start from £350. Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- How hard the colour is to match
- How much damage there is
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Thornhill. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
Getting a price from photos
Before you send photos, a few simple things make all the difference:
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
You don’t need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.
