FAQs for Inbhir Aora

How do I get a price for coloured bath resurfacing in Inbhir Aora?

Prices start from £350. Every job gets a fixed quote based on photos of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses.

Do you come to Inbhir Aora?

Yes. We cover the whole UK and travel to Inbhir Aora. Send photos and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Is a repair better than a new one?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

Is there any odour?

Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, so we ventilate the room. It clears as the materials cure.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Generally, yes. Clear photos let us give you a fixed price without visiting.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Is the work guaranteed?

Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Inbhir Aora

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is typically done in one to two days. We work on coloured shower trays, whole bathroom suites and coloured basins, and common reasons people contact us are a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you’re not left on your own once we’ve gone. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

Work for landlords and builders

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access.

Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.

How the visit works

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we’re doing. It typically takes one to two days for a full suite, and you can get on with other things while we are there.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, typically ready the day after.

How to prepare

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Clear the area around the damage

How to get a price

No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Inbhir Aora?

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Most people get in touch when they notice one of these:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour

What to look for in a quote

  • How changes to the job are handled
  • What aftercare is recommended
  • How the colour is matched

What we can’t put right

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair cannot fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.

What we work on

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Inbhir Aora. The price reflects:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • What the surface is made of
  • What kind of damage it is
  • The colour and finish to match

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before you book.

Getting a price from pictures

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • One picture of the whole suite
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed quote back. There’s no charge for the quote and no obligation.

Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.

Why us?

  • One price list for the whole UK
  • Colour-matched on site
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
