Honest limits
Some jobs are not right for a repair, for example:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.
What we work on
- Whole bathroom suites
- Coloured basins
- Coloured shower trays
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
Coloured bath resurfacing in Lansdown, done in place
Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Common call-outs are for selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, in coloured shower trays, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

The process
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you are happy with the plan. Most jobs take one to two days for a full suite, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
- We leave everything to cure, normally until the next day.
Preparing for the visit
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Let us know which floor the room is on
How to get a price

Related advice
Should you replace it?
Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.

DIY kit or professional repair?
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing
Resurfacing from £350. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:
- The material
- Access to the area
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Lansdown. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Send pictures for a quote
The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- Something in shot to show the size
- A wider photo showing the entire suite
We price from photos so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.

Common questions in Lansdown
How soon can you come?
Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
Do you come to Lansdown?
Yes, we do. Technicians travel to Lansdown from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Usually, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. We’ll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
Do the materials smell?
There can be some smell while we work, so we ventilate the room. It fades as everything cures.
Can you do the toilet too?
Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll tell you what will last.
Are you accredited?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
Will it make a mess?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we’ve finished.
What happens once I’ve sent pictures?
We review the pictures and send a fixed quote with dates.
What we’re called out for in Lansdown
Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.
Look out for these signs:
- Faded or patchy colour
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- A suite that does not match a new bathroom
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
What your quote should include
- What happens if the damage is worse than the pictures show
- Who will actually do the work
- How to care for the finish
- How long it needs to cure
About our accreditations · Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee.
