Trusted coloured bath resurfacing in Leck

Coloured bath resurfacing in Leck without replacing anything

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is generally done in one to two days. Our technicians work on coloured basins, avocado, pampas and pink baths and whole bathroom suites, and the jobs we see most are a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something is not right in that time, we come back and put it right. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.

Leck: your questions answered

What do you need from me?

Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we will do the rest.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders in Leck.

Is it messy?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.

Are you a vetted contractor?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Will there be a smell?

It depends on the job, but frequently a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.

When can you do it?

That depends on our diary for your area. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.

Repairing versus replacing in Leck

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

What you get with us

  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • One-year guarantee on every repair
  • No extra charge for your area

The process

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we have agreed what we’re doing. Most jobs take a day or two, depending on how many items, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. We leave everything to cure, normally until the next day.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
  • Clear the area around the damage

Common problems we fix in Leck

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

Can I fix it myself?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. Each job gets its own fixed quote. These are the things that affect it:

  • Doing more than one item at once
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • What the surface is made of
  • How much damage there is

We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Quotes from your pictures

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:

  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A picture taken from further back
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.
