Signs you need coloured bath resurfacing in Kendal
Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.
Typical reasons for a call-out include:
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- A suite that does not match a new bathroom
- Faded or patchy colour
What your quote should include
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
- How changes to the job are handled
- What aftercare is recommended
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
Coloured bath resurfacing in Kendal without replacing anything
Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We work on whole bathroom suites, coloured shower trays and coloured basins, and common reasons people get in touch are a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.
Big or small, you get the same one-year guarantee. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

DIY kit or professional repair?
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
How we price coloured bath resurfacing
Prices start from £350. You will not pay by the hour. The price depends on:
- Access to the area
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- Unusual colours or finishes
We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Kendal. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
How to get a fixed quote
A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- The material, if you know it
- Where you are, by postcode
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
Most clients in Kendal get their price from pictures. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.

Do you come to Kendal?
Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Kendal and the rest of Cumbria. Send photos and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Can tenants book a repair?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are frequently glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.
Are you a vetted contractor?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
Is it safe with children and pets around?
On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.
Can you turn my avocado bath white?
Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.
Which areas do you work in?
We cover the whole UK, including Kendal and the rest of Cumbria. Send your postcode with your pictures and we will offer you dates.
What happens next?
We review the pictures and send a fixed quote with dates.

Landlord and trade work in Kendal
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
If you manage property in Kendal, we will quote for several properties at once. Send photos for each one and we will price them together.
What a repair can’t fix
We won’t take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before booking.

A repair normally costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send photos and we’ll give you the exact figure.

How the visit works
You do not need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we’re doing. Most jobs take one to two days for a full suite, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
- Each item is left to cure, generally ready the day after.
Preparing for the visit
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
Getting a price
