Trusted coloured bath resurfacing in Leigh

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. You won’t pay by the hour. The price depends on:

  • Access to the area
  • What kind of damage it is
  • What the surface is made of
  • How hard the colour is to match

There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Getting a price from pictures

You can typically get a fixed price without us visiting. To make it quick:

  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • A picture taken from further back

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole suite, we can price the job without visiting.

Coloured bath resurfacing in Leigh without replacing anything

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is generally done in one to two days. Our technicians work on avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites, and common reasons people contact us are a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.

Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee in Leigh and across Surrey. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Can I fix it myself?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

How the visit works

From the moment we arrive, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes one to two days for a full suite, depending on what we find, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Make sure the room can be ventilated

Advice

Common questions in Leigh

What do you need from me?

Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787.

Can pets and children be at home?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work. The rest of the house is unaffected.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Most of the time. Tell us what was done before and we will plan for it.

When can you do it?

That depends on our diary for your area. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.

Can you price it without visiting?

Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures can’t show what we need.

What about the toilet?

Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will tell you what will last.

Is a repair better than a new one?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we will tell you.

What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?

Your quote covers the damage in the pictures. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Leigh?

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

The things clients typically mention when they call include:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour

Landlord and trade work in Leigh

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Leigh as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it normally costs far less than a refit.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. Instead of hourly rates, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Why Leigh customers choose us

What a repair cannot fix

It helps to know what we cannot do too:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.
