How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Little Steeping
Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Typical jobs include a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite, on coloured basins, whole bathroom suites and avocado, pampas and pink baths.
All our work is covered by our one-year guarantee. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Should you replace it?
Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.
Why us?

The process
Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, protect the area, then carry out the work, which normally takes one to two days for a full suite. If anything looks different from your pictures, we will talk to you before going ahead.
- We protect the room and ventilate it.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- Each item is left to cure, normally ready the next day.
Preparing for the visit

When to call us in Little Steeping
Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is typically the colour, not the bath.
If you can see any of these, send us a photo:
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- Faded or patchy colour
- A suite that does not match a new bathroom
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
Comparing quotes
- Aftercare advice

Can I fix it myself?
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
What we cannot put right
Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.

Little Steeping: your questions answered
Can a coloured bath be made white?
Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.
What do you need from me?
Photos of the damage, a picture of the whole suite and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.
What happens next?
We come back with a fixed quote. You’re under no obligation.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send photos of everything you’d like done.
Is repairing better than replacing?
In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the photos can’t show what we need.
Can tenants book a repair?
Of course. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £350. We don’t charge extra for travel to Little Steeping. The price comes down to:
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- How much damage there is
- Whether we combine several jobs
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
How to get a fixed price
Before you send photos, a few simple things make all the difference:
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- A wider photo showing the whole suite
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
Email us pictures of the damage and one of the whole item, with your PE23 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.
For landlords and businesses
Letting agents often send us pictures straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. Several plots can be done in one visit.
