Coloured bath resurfacing near Littleton

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Littleton

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. We regularly repair whole bathroom suites, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins, and the jobs we see most are a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Our hiring checklist

What affects the price in Littleton

Prices start from £350. Each job gets its own fixed quote. These are the things that affect it:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • What the surface is made of
  • How much damage there is

A repair generally costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Getting a price from photos

Two or three clear photos are normally enough. Try to include:

  • Natural light rather than flash
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • What it’s made of, if you know

If you are in Littleton and want a price, pictures are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.

For landlords and businesses

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. We can visit several plots in one trip.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we’ll arrange it.

Questions from Littleton

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Just make sure the landlord agrees.

Which areas do you work in?

The whole UK, including all of Hampshire. Send your postcode with your pictures and we’ll confirm dates.

Can landlords book you?

We do, regularly. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Just add the extra items to your pictures and we will quote them together.

Are you a vetted contractor?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Do I have to be there?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.

Will the price change on the day?

Your quote covers the damage in the pictures. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, so the repair is not disturbed while it cures.

Repairing versus replacing in Littleton

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Why us?

  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • A fixed quote before booking
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing

The process

We turn up when we said we would, introduces themselves and checks the damage against your pictures first. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. Most visits take a day or two, depending on how many items, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. We leave everything to cure, typically until the day after.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit

Getting a price

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole suite, we can give you a fixed quote the same day in most cases.

Advice

Should I try a DIY kit first?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

When a repair is not the answer

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.
