About our coloured bath resurfacing in Low Moor

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. We’re often asked to fix faded or patchy colour and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, across coloured basins, whole bathroom suites and avocado, pampas and pink baths.

All our work comes with a one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

FAQs for Low Moor

What do you need from me?

Photos of the damage, a photo of the entire suite and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it is not worth repairing, we will tell you.

How soon can you come?

We will give you dates with your quote. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

Do you cover Low Moor?

Yes. We cover the whole UK and travel to Low Moor and the rest of Lancashire. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Do you charge for travel?

There is no separate call-out charge. Your fixed price includes everything.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders.

Are you accredited?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

What about the toilet?

Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll advise honestly before quoting.

DIY kit or professional repair?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. Each job gets its own fixed price. This is what makes a difference:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • The material and finish
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you will get a fixed figure.

Getting a price from photos

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • Details of any past repairs
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote. There’s no charge for the quote and no obligation.

What a repair can’t fix

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

Surfaces we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

The process

Your technician turns up at the time we agreed with you and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before any work starts. The work itself takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and the room is left clean and tidy.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, generally until the next day.

How to prepare

  • Make sure the room can be ventilated
  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area

How to get a price

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour

Before booking anyone

  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
  • What happens if they find more damage
  • How the room is protected while they work

Choosing a repair company

Landlord and trade work in Low Moor

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
