Coloured bath resurfacing in Lower Blagdon

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Lower Blagdon

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We regularly repair whole bathroom suites, coloured shower trays and coloured basins, and common reasons people contact us are selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before booking, with nothing added on the day.

Why us?

  • We leave the room as we found it
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • Colour-matched on site

Read our prices page or guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

How it works

You do not need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and start once you’re happy with the plan. Most jobs take a day or two, depending on how many items, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.

Preparing for the visit

  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

When we would advise against a repair

A repair isn’t right for every job, for example:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays

What we are called out for in Lower Blagdon

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Lower Blagdon. The price depends on:

  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • How much damage there is
  • What kind of damage it is
  • What the surface is made of

We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Lower Blagdon. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Send pictures for a quote

The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

Can I fix it myself?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
