Coloured bath resurfacing in Luccombe Village without replacing anything

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. If you are dealing with a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour, we can typically put it right.

Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

Work for landlords and builders

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, pictures and access details.

Luccombe Village: your questions answered

How do I book?

Photos of the damage, a photo of the entire suite and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.

Can pets and children be at home?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Just add the extra items to your pictures and you will get one combined price.

What areas do you cover?

We cover the whole UK, including Luccombe Village and the rest of Isle of Wight. Send your postcode with your photos and we will offer you dates.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. There is no charge for travel to Luccombe Village. The price comes down to:

  • The material
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • The size and number of damaged areas

Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Luccombe Village. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Quotes from your photos

Two or three clear pictures are generally enough. It helps if you send:

  • Any details about the material
  • One picture of the whole suite
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Where you are, by postcode

Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you will get a fixed quote back. There’s no charge for the quote and no obligation.

Should you replace it?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. A repair normally costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Why us?

  • Everything repaired in place
  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing

See our full price list and guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

How it works

Once we are through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes one to two days for a full suite, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. We leave everything to cure, generally until the following day.

How to prepare

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Have a window or extractor fan available

Ask for a price

Send us a photo of the damage and one of the entire item, and tell us you’re in Luccombe Village, and we will come back with a fixed quote.

What we are called out for in Luccombe Village

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Send us a photo if you notice any of these:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

Questions to ask before you book

  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
  • How your room will be protected
  • Who will actually do the work
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
