Need coloured bath resurfacing in Lucklawhill?

Coloured bath resurfacing in Lucklawhill, done in place

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Common call-outs are for a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite, across avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured shower trays and coloured basins.

You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Lucklawhill as everywhere else we work. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Why us?

  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • Typically one visit, start to finish
  • A fixed quote before booking

Take a look at our prices page or bath cost comparison.

How it works

The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can carry on at home. Protection goes down first, then the job itself takes a day or two, depending on how many items. At the end we talk you through how soon it can be used and how to look after it.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Each item is left to cure, usually ready the next day.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

Ask for a price

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole suite, include your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

Advice

When we would advise against a repair

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.

Materials we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays

Common problems we fix in Lucklawhill

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

You may need us if you’ve spotted:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

Questions to ask before you book

  • Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • How your room will be protected
  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price

Our hiring checklist

Should I try a DIY kit first?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. Each job gets its own fixed price. This is what makes a difference:

  • How much damage there is
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • The material and finish

No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Getting a price from photos

Before you send photos, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • A wider photo showing the whole suite
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Where you are, by postcode

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can price the job the same day in most cases.
