Coloured bath resurfacing in Balmullo

Coloured bath resurfacing in Balmullo, done in place

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is generally done in one to two days. We’re often asked to fix faded or patchy colour and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, on coloured shower trays, whole bathroom suites and avocado, pampas and pink baths.

You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything is not right, ring us and we’ll sort it. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

What we do, step by step

There is not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll take it from there. Most visits take a day or two, depending on how many items, including clearing up.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. We leave everything to cure, generally until the next day.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Make sure the room can be ventilated

Signs you need coloured bath resurfacing in Balmullo

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

FAQs for Balmullo

What about the toilet?

Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll tell you what will last.

Is there a call-out fee?

We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed quote includes everything.

What happens once I’ve sent photos?

We come back with a fixed quote, typically with dates to choose from. You’re under no obligation.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes: twelve months. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Just keep them out of the work area. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to use again.

What do you need from me?

Photos of the damage, a picture of the whole suite and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

We do, regularly. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

Can tenants book a repair?

We’re happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Get your landlord’s agreement first.

Landlord and trade work in Balmullo

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Balmullo use us as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it generally costs far less than a refit.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. There’s no charge for travel to Balmullo. The price comes down to:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • How much damage there is
  • What the surface is made of
  • The colour and finish to match

No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Getting a price from pictures

Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • A photo taken from further back
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

You do not need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

When we would advise against a repair

To be straight with you, some problems need a different fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

DIY kit or professional repair?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.
